Pandan Leaves

Pandan (pandanus amaryllifolius) is an upright, green tropical plant having fan-shaped, long, narrow leaves. It can grow to 2 meters in height and rarely flowers.  
Pandan leaves are used as a flavoring for desserts such as pandan cake, sweet beverages, fruit salad, rice-based pastries and numerous sweet drinks. Its flavor and aroma is similar to basmati rice.
